In his new blog post, Goran Buldioski discusses two examples of good practices for cooperation between think-tanks and CSOs. Studiorum’s cooperation with LIL on Roma habitual residents policy document is one of the two examples discussed. Buldioski is a long term researcher and observer of think-tanks, and a director of the Think-tank Fund of the OSI.

Legal Analysis on HIV/AIDS Legislation in Macedonia from Human Gights Perspective Presented

This legal analysis shows how the current national legislation addresses the concerns of people living or vulnerable to HIV from a human rights perspective, including access to health care, social and health services, education, employment, legal protection as well as respect and protection of their privacy and confidentiality. It provides comparative analysis of the national legislation with the international standards in this area and recommends legal amendments to overcome the existing gaps.

Studiorum took part at a conference on research in social sciences in Macedonia

The conference “State of Social Sciences Research in the Republic of Macedonia” took place on April 14, 2011 in Skopje (Hotel Kontinental). The event managed to attract the attention and participation of many think-tanks from Macedonia, as well as of representatives from state and private universities, the Ministry of Education and Sciences, as well as independent researchers.

Second Fellowship Orientation Meeting was held in Istanbul

As part of the project “Monitoring and improvement of the implementation of the legislation regarding human rights in health care” the second Fellowship Orientation Meeting took place in Istanbul, Turkey from February, 15-19, 2011. The purpose of the meeting was to define and coordinate the project activities, as well as to engage the new partners and share the experience that some of the countries have in this project.

Studiorum Takes Part at the RRPP Second Annual Scientific Conference

The Second Annual Scientific Conference of the Regional Research Promotion Programme (RRPP) this year will take place in June, 25-27, 2010 in Durres, Albania. The conference will bring together over 90 participants from 16 countries from the region, Europe and overseas countries. Researchers, including researchers working on RRPP-supported research projects will present their work in five parallel workshops.
