Marking of the 5 May, World Hand Hygiene Day

This year, Macedonia joined the celebration of the World Hand Hygiene Day – 5th May, for the fourth time, as collaborative effort of the Ministry of Health, Institute of Public Health and CRPRC Studiorum, with support from the World Health organisation Country office.

This year, educational posters on proper hand hygiene in various medical procedures were prepared. For ensuring wider outreach, the educational posters are uploaded on several health-related websites.
In relation to supporting the promotion of hand hygiene and improve the services of healthcare institutions worldwide, WHO issued a guide for hand hygiene in healthcare institutions, available HERE.
