Round Table Held on HIV National Legislation From a Human Rights and Gender Based Perspectives

CRPRC Studiorum and the Joined United Nations Program on HIV/AIDS UNAIDS on January 27, 2009 organized a round table discussion. The purpose of the discussion was to review the draft-version of the in-depth analysis of the national legislation regarding HIV from a human rights and gender based perspective, which was conducted by Studiorum’s research team.

The members of UNDP’s focus group as well as the respondents and associates that gave their feedback during the qualitative research part were present at the round table discussion in order to approve the draft-version and give additional comments and feedback. The document is in its final stages and once it is completed it will represent a useful tool for health professionals, lawyers, social workers and non-governmental activists that are dealing with any aspects of HIV/AIDS as well as the final users – people living with HIV/AIDS (PLHV).
