Program for Anticorruption Practitioners (PAP) Follow-up Meeting November 27-29, 2009 Istanbul Turkey (Regional program “Working Together”)

CRPRC Studiorum was invited to attend the 12th meeting of the Program “Working Together” organized the Partners Foundation for Local Development – FPDL, Romania. The meeting was also an evaluation of the PAP program for 2009 in which Studiorum took participation.

The objectives of the meeting were for the PAP network members to:

  • Share information about the 2010 anticorruption projects on curring and preventing corruption in local government organizations,
  • Share experience on obstacles in implementing anticorruption interventions in local governments and on solutions to overcome them,
  • Discusse how to define anticorruption interventions outcomes and how to develop indicators to measure their achievement,
  • Learne about TIRI network and opportunities of collaboration,
  • Strenghtene relations and identify opportunities for collaboration among the network members.

35 participants from 18 countries attended the Meeting:

  • Practitioners who attended PAP Knowledge and Skills Building Components in 2009: 16 practitioners from 10 countries (Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Czech Republic, Georgia, Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia)
  • Practitioners who were involved in 2008 in applying the anticorruption methodology by working with local governments in their countries: 7 practitioners from 5 countries (Albania, Macedonia, Moldova, Romania, Slovakia)
  • Representatives of international and training organizations, interested in the topic: 12 persons (LGI, TIRI, FOSIM, FPDL, Turkey-Union of Marmara Region Municipalities)

The Meeting was also an opportunity for FPDL to celebrate its 15th anniversary with its international network of colleagues and supporters. Congratulations on your 15th birthday FPDL!
