Invitation for Conference: Effective Political Participation in Local Self-government and the OFA

“Studiorum invites you to the conference “”Effective political participation and smaller ethnic communities in the local self-government in the Republic of Macedonia – impact of the Ohrid Framework Agreement”” which will take place on June, 22nd, 2011 (Wednesday) at the EU Info Centre (12:00-16:00h).

The aim of the event is to discuss the position of the small(er) ethnic communities in the Republic of Macedonia, through the presentations of the representatives from relevant state institutions and agencies, CSOs and the academic community. The event will open with a presentation of the Journal on European Issues ‘Evrodijalog’ Vol.14 (a special issue on minority rights). Following the series of discussions on the effective political participation in local self-government and the impact of the OFA, the closing section of the event will be dedicated to socially-engaged art for Human Rights. Within the frame of this session, the band Foltin will perform.
