Studiorum participated in the United Nations Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities’ consultations on the first two Draft General Comments on the Convention of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
Within the frame of consultations of stakeholders for the second UPR of Macedonia, Studiorum submitted a Joint Submission together with Roma S.O.S. and LIL. This submission and all other documents for the review scheduled for January 30th, 2014, are now live online. We are glad to see that a majority of the recommendations and a big part of the critical assessment of the current situation found their place in the Summary prepared by the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights.
Studiorum starts the publication of a series of case comments and reviews on important Human Rights developments at the global level, as well as of important developments directly related to Macedonia.
CRPRC Studiorum published the study “National Human Rights Institutions in Macedonia: Normative Models and Challenges”, which looks at the two national Human Rights institutions in the country – the Ombudsperson and the Commission for Protection against Discrimination.
CRPRC Studiorum has published the Baseline Study and Policy Report on the Effective Political Participation of the Small(er) Ethnic Communication in Local-Self Government in Macedonia.
This policy brief looks into the Law on Prevention and Protection against Discrimination adopted by the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia on 8 April 2010, and promulgated in the Official Gazette No. 50 on 13 April 2010.
