Module B foresees joint session for local authorities and civil society organizations. The participants that attended both Module A session, now had a chance to meet at a joint session and share their experience from their different standpoints (local government and civil society organizations). The municipality of Veles hosted this two-day event and prepared an interesting cultural and social program to complement the training activities.

CRPRC Studiorum with the support of the Association of Local Democracy Agencies (ALDA) began the Pilot Training on Active Citizenship. The Pilot Training will be conducted in two municipalities Veles and Probishtip and NGOs based in those two municipalities. The first round of modules took place on February 6-7 in Probishtip with the Mayor of Probishtip as our host.

CRPRC Studiorum and the Joined United Nations Program on HIV/AIDS UNAIDS on January 27, 2009 organized a round table discussion. The purpose of the discussion was to review the draft-version of the in-depth analysis of the national legislation regarding HIV from a human rights and gender based perspective, which was conducted by Studiorum’s research team.

CRPRC Studiorum was established in February 2002, as an independent research oriented NGO. As a relatively small organization, Studiorum is a specialized think-tank for addressing the issues falling into its priority areas of public health, social inclusion, environmental considerations and the new media – thematic areas that are of major importance but of minor attention from the policy and think-tank community in the country. As such, Studiorum is active member of the Think Tank Network – Macedonia, with unique expertise in the mentioned fields.
Since its establishment, Studiorum has committed to work on policy analyses and research oriented projects, relevant to the EU integration processes, using high quality experts and researchers in the field both from Macedonia and abroad, in order to have policy impact oriented towards citizens’ benefit and welfare. As we are a non-partisan think-tank, our policy efforts are recognized and have been properly communicated with different governments and political elites. As an independent non-governmental think-tank, Studiorum is providing funds for its operations and projects through applying with competitive project proposals to the funding programs of different donors.
