The Cervical Cancer Prevention Week will be held from 18 to 24 January 2009. The primary objectives of the Prevention Week are to raise awareness of cervical cancer and how it can be prevented.

The European Antibiotic Awareness Day is a European public health initiative to raise awareness about the problem of antibiotic resistance, and to provide information on how everyone can contribute to preserve the efficacy of antibiotics. In 2008, European Antibiotic Awareness Day is focusing specifically on the need for everybody to reduce any unnecessary use of antibiotics. 

The European Public Health Association’s 2008 Annual Conference on the topic “Health and Innovation in Europe” was held November 6-8, 2008 in Lisbon, Portugal. Through the presentation of Neda Milevska-Kostova – Studiorum’s representative at the conference, we gave our contribution to promoting ideas and experiences on health and innovation in Europe.

This publication is a result of enthusiastic gathering, discussion and motivation to contribute to changes in the healthcare sector in the 16 national contexts by experts and activists, national officials and civil sector representatives that gathered in Kiev in the General Meeting of the Project on “Eastern European and Asian Organizations for Patients Rights and Safety” in May 2008.

CRPRC Studiorum joins the global campaign aiming to get ministers of health from around the world to sign the petition “Act Now for Health”.

The second European Patients’ Rights Day took place on 18 April 2008. The celebration in Republic of Macedonia was organized by CRPRC Studiorum, that hosted an event supported by EC and Active Citizenship Network (ACN) from Italy.
