The E-panels project is designed to address the issue of bridging the gap between citizens and the European Union in an innovative way. As we know the citizens panels; which are the groups of ordinary citizens who are not spontaneously involved in EU affairs, is a frequently used solution to cooperate with citizens and to share the ideas about the future of the European Union with its outcomes on the citizens. The new method proposed by this project is to create electronic panels (“E-panels”) to increase the number of citizens from different ages, nationalities and backgrounds who could finally find an opportunity to express themselves on matters related to EU policies that affect their daily life by these online panels. The aim is to test this new dimension of the citizens’ panels’ methodology to see if it is a relevant instrument to foster citizen participation. Проект Е-панели е дизајниран да се осврне на прашањето на премостување на јазот помеѓу граѓаните и Европската Унија на иновативен начин. Како што знаеме, граѓанските панели, кои претставуваат група на граѓани кои генерално не се вклучени во прашања поврзани со ЕУ, се најчест начин да се соработува со граѓаните и да се разменуваат идеи околу иднината на Европската Унија и нејзините ефекти врз граѓаните. Новиот метод предложен со овој проект е создавање на електронски панели (“Е-панели”) со цел да се зголеми бројот на граѓани од различна возраст, пол и припадност и да им се овозможи преку овие онлајн панели да ги искажат своите мислења за прашањата поврзани со ЕУ-политиките кои ги засегаат во секојдневниот живот. CRPRC Studiorum is one of the recipients of 2010/11 research grants, awarded by the Regional Research Promotion Programme (RRPP), which is managed by the University of Fribourg and financed by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC). RRPP in the Western Balkans aims at establishing and strengthening research capacities in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia. The research topics address and deal with specific issues at stake that fit into the regional umbrella topic “Political, Social and Economic Change in the Western Balkans”.

ЦРИС Студиорум е еден од добитниците на истражувачки грант за 2010/11 година кои ги доделува Регионална Програма за Поттикнување на Истражувањето (Regional Research Promotion Programme – RRPP/РРПП). Со Програмата раководи Универзитетот од Фрибург, а е финансирана од страна на Швајцарската агенција за развој и соработка. РРПП во земјите од Западен Балкан има за цел да ги промовира и зајакне истражувачките капацитети во Албанија, Босна и Херцеговина, Косово, Македонија, Црна Гора и Србија. Истражувачките теми се осврнуваат на и третираат специфични прашања кои спаѓаат во регионалната сеопфатна тема: “Политички, социјални и економски промени во Западен Балкан”.
CRPRC Studiorum Received the Pearl of Wisdom Award for 2010ЦРИС Студиорум е еден од добитниците на наградата „Бисер на мудроста“ за 2010 година
The Pearl of Wisdom Awards is given to recognise the people and organisations that have made exceptional efforts to prevent cervical cancer in their communities.
CRPRC Studiorum as part of the Macedonian team received this recognition for the Progressive Implementation of an Organised Cervical Cancer Screening Program, together with Committee for Equal Opportunities of Women and Men at the Macedonian Parliament, Ministry of Health, Women’s Organization of Sveti Nikole and Macedonian Women’s Lobby.
The awards for January 2010 were given at the Cervical Cancer Summit Meeting in the European Parliament.
Наградата Бисер на мудроста се доделува на лица и организации кои дале несебичен придонес за спречување на појавата на рак на грлото на матката во своите заедници.
ЦРИС Студиорум како дел од македонскиот тим е добитник на признанието за програмата Прогресивна имплементација на организирана превенција од рак на грлото на матката.
Наградите беа доделени во јануари 2010 година на Самитот за превенција на рак на грлото на матката кој се одржа во Европскиот парламент.

The project, The Progressive Implementation of an Organised Cervical Cancer Prevention Programme in Macedonia, has been selected by the ECCA members to receive a Pearl of Wisdom of award at the upcoming Cervical Cancer Summit Meeting to be held in the European Parliament on 26-27 January 2010.
Проектот „Прогресивна имплементација на програмата за организирана превенција на цервикален рак“ беше избран од членките на Европската асоцијација за цервикален рак (ЕЦЦА) за наградата Бисер на мудроста на претстојниот Состанок за цервикален рак, кој ќе се одржи во Европскиот парламент на 26-27 јануари 2010 година.
Promotion of brochure “Fighting Corruption to Improve Governance”Промовирана Брошурата „Борба против корупција за подобро управување”
CRPRC Studiorum promoted the brochure “Fighting Corruption to Improve Governance” on December 9 – the International Day for Fight against Corruption. This brochure, created by Studiorum’t team and supported by the United Nations Development Program in Macedonia is a result of a one-day conference for anticorruption practitioners “Fighting Corruption to Improve Governance”, held on 15 October 2009 in Skopje, Republic of Macedonia. The conference aimed to bring together representatives working on various programmes in the field of prevention and fight against corruption in Macedonia and in the region to exchange knowledge and practices; to compare and evaluate their approaches, tools and results; to identify lessons learned and suggest recommendations for a more effective prevention and countering of corruption; as well as enhancement of integrity, transparency and responsibility of the local government. The brochure contains participants’ recommendations regarding
(a) Improvement of efficiency of approaches and tools used in different initiatives in the fights against corruption at local level and (b) increasing citizen participation in those efforts. На 9 декември, 2009 година ЦРИС Студиорум ја промовираше брошурата “Борба против корупција за подобро управување”. Оваа брошура во изработка на тимот на Студиорум а со поддршка на Канцеларијата на Обединетите нации во Македонија е плод на еднодневната конференција за практичари по антикорупција “Борба против корупција за подобро управување”, која се одржа на 15 октомври 2009 година во Скопје, Република Македонија. Конференцијата имаше за цел да донесе на едно место претставници кои работат во различни програми поврзани со борбата против корупцијата во Македонија и во регионот, за да разменат искуства и знаења, да ги проценат и споредат своите пристапи, алатки и резултати, да идентификуваат научени лекции и да предложат препораки за поефикасно спречување и справување со корупцијата, како и зголемување на интегритетот, транспарентноста и одговорноста кај локалната власт. Брошурата ги содржи препораките од учесниците на конференцијата во однос на
(а) подобрување на ефективноста на пристапите и алатките употребени во иницијативите за борба против корупцијата на локално ниво; и
(б) зголемување на граѓанското учество во овие активности.

In order to mark the date, December 9, the civil society organization European Link Center from Gostivar together with Municipality Gostivar and UNDP office in Macedonia organized a public debate within the frameworks of the municipality. CRPCR Studiorum was invited to present its activities within the area of decentralization, including the analysis of Macedonian local governments’ vulnerabilities to corruption. The debate that took place after the presentations emphasized the education of youth and the awareness raising of this population for the corruption’s devastating effects over the environment and local government’s development. Mr. Muzafer Saliu, President of the European Link Center argued that with such activities and influencing youth’s awareness, one will influence the vulnerable system to change.По повод меѓународниот ден за борба против корупцијата, 9 декември, граѓанската организација Европски Линк Центар од Гостивар заедно со Општина Гостивар и УНДП канцеларијата во Македонија организираше јавна дебата што воедно беше и одбележување на датумот 9 декември во рамките на општината Гостивар. ЦРИС Студиорум беше поканет да ги претстави своите активности во полето на децентрализација, вклучувајќи ги и активностите поврзани со анализите на ранливоста на општините во Македонија кон притисоците за корупција. Дебата која се разви по презентациите стави акцент на едукацијата на младите во однос на разорувачите ефекти од корупцијата врз околината и развојот на една општина. The Centre for Regional Policy Research and Coopration Studiorum (CRPRC Studiorum) with the support of the Association of Local Democracy Agencies (ALDA) implemented the second cycle of Pilot Training on Active Citizenship in Macedonia. This training aimed to enhance the capacity and knowledge on active citizenship in Macedonian and European context with the local authorities and the civil society organizations (CSOs). In this cycle CRPRC Studiorum included the municipalities of Bitola and Prilep, having participants from the unites of local self-government and the CSOs.

The training was structured in three modules, A, B and C. The first Module A was hosted by the Municipality of Bitola and was held in their premises on the 6th and 7th of November 2009. The second Module B was hosted by the municipality of Prilep and was held in the presmises of the Foundation for support and development.

The second cycle of implementation was completed with the second Conference on Active Citizenship, held on the 03rd of December 2009 in the EU Info Centre in Skopje. Mrs. Neda Milevska – Kostova, Executive Director of CRPRC Studiorum and Mrs. Camille Gangloff from ALDA, opened the conference. The following gave their presentations at the conference: Emilija Geroska – Junior Associate in PR at the Municipality of Bitola, Ane Laskoska – Chief of Cabinet at the Municipality of Prilep, Camille Gangloff – Project Coordinator at ALDA and Biljana Kotevska – Researcher at CRPRC Studiorum. The aim of the event was to enhance public debate for inclusion of citizens in the decision making processes at local level.

ALDA awarded CRPRC Studiorum with a Certificate for Contribution in the Active Citizenship Area for 2008-2009. The same model of trainings ALDA organizes with its partners in France, Italy, Denmark and Lithuania.
