The Centre for Regional Policy Research and Cooperation “Studiorum” together with the Association of Local Democracy Agencies (ALDA) organized the International launching Conference of “E-panels project: Fostering citizens’ participation and volunteering in a wider Europe”. The conference marked the beginning of a year-long initiative, to be realized in cooperation with the House of Europe, France, FIB from Spain, Association for European Partnership from Bulgaria, Local Democracy Agencies Osijek and Sisak, Croatia, NGO Horizont from Albania and CRPRC Studiorum as a partner organization from the Republic of Macedonia.

The international launching conference took place on March 3-4, 2010 in Hotel Karpos, Skopje, Republic of Macedonia. It featured number of speakers from various organizations and institutions:

The E-panels project aims to develop a sense of European identity, based on common values, history and culture; to give the citizens the opportunity to interact and participate in a broaden Europe through debates about how to improve citizens’ participation, with a focus on tools such as ICT tools and the processes such as volunteering. Furthermore, its goal is to foster a greater understanding of the European Union and its processes among its citizens, and to enhance tolerance and mutual understanding, respect and promote cultural and linguistic diversity, while contributing to intercultural dialogue.
