The conference will be organized around the following main topics:
Several joint workshops, plennart sessions and master lectures have been planned. The list of keynote speakers includes: Zsuzsanna Jakab, director ECDC (director elected for WHO Europe), Andrzej Rys, director DG SANCO Public Health, Martin McKee, LSHTM, Aldo Morrone, NIHMP, Italy. Master lectures will be delivered on the following topics: Youth mental health / second and third generation migrants (by Prof. Jutta Lindert), Imported tropical diseases (by Prof. Gábor Ternák), Undocumented migrants: Research methods or Human rights (TBC); Culturally sensitive health care system (by Prof. Raj Bhopal).
CRPRC Studiorum researchers will give oral presentations in the Workshop “Are Health Care Systems Prepared to Handle the Health Needs of the Roma Minority?” organized by the Open Society Institute’s Roma Health Project. Neda Milevska – Kostova will make presentation on Access to health services for Roma: legal, institutional and policy challenges in Macedonia. Biljana Kotevska will have presentation on the topic “Scanning Macedonia’s Local Context: Preparing the Health System for the Roma – Roma in the Formal Medical Higher Education” prepared together with Ivana Tomovska.
