Ongoing project: “E-panels project: Fostering citizens’ participation and volunteering in a wider Europe” – Training and debate with citizens’ panels activators Skopje, 25 May, 2010
As part of the activities of the E-panels project ICT training and debate with the citizens’ panels activators took place on May 25, 2010 in Skopje. The ICT training was conducted by Metamorphosis Foundation. Representatives of the Center for Contemporary Romani Art and New Media “Media Baza”, Enisa Eminovska and Alush Eminov participated in the event, in the role of activators in the project. In addition, Emilia Geroska, representative of Municipality Bitola and Darko Buldioski and Sead Dzigal from the New Media Center from Skopje are also involved as activators in the project.
The role of the activators is to initiate and moderate discussions at the online forum that will be activated within the E-panels web-site (http://mk.e-panels.eu). The profile of activators includes active citizens within their communities (involved in the community as volunteers, NGOs, or the local self-government).
During the event there was a conversation regarding the potential topics that citizens in Macedonia could discuss through the online forums, topics linked to the European Union, but also topics that are relevant and connected to the developments in our country. Planned activities in the upcoming few weeks include completion of the web-portal where citizens from Macedonia can post their thoughts, attitudes, as well as pictures, audio and video-materials related to the forum topics.
