Promotion of brochure “Fighting Corruption to Improve Governance”

CRPRC Studiorum promoted the brochure “Fighting Corruption to Improve Governance” on December 9 – the International Day for Fight against Corruption. This brochure, created by Studiorum’t team and supported by the United Nations Development Program in Macedonia is a result of a one-day conference for anticorruption practitioners “Fighting Corruption to Improve Governance”, held on 15 October 2009 in Skopje, Republic of Macedonia. The conference aimed to bring together representatives working on various programmes in the field of prevention and fight against corruption in Macedonia and in the region to exchange knowledge and practices; to compare and evaluate their approaches, tools and results; to identify lessons learned and suggest recommendations for a more effective prevention and countering of corruption; as well as enhancement of integrity, transparency and responsibility of the local government. The brochure contains participants’ recommendations regarding
(a) Improvement of efficiency of approaches and tools used in different initiatives in the fights against corruption at local level and (b) increasing citizen participation in those efforts.
